There are a variety of fun hobby group classes; a great way to make new friends, keep fit and healthy, as well as learning something new! You do not need a partner to attend although you can stay with your same partner if you do come along together.
In group classes we cover Waltz, Chachacha, Quickstep, Rumba, Tango, Jive, Samba, Salsa, Paso, Foxtrott, Argentine Tango, Social Rhythm as well as some popular sequence dances too. We change dance every 3 weeks.
For those who wish to take things at their own speed, concentrate on a particular dance or take exams or compete, we recommend private lessons in addition to the social group classes which are available by appointment.
Monday's is one of our two Beginners night class options and is at 8.30-9.30pm.
This class covers Prebronze/ Social dance figures in simple routines changing dance style every 3 weeks.
£9.50 per week.
Our Tuesday "Improvers" class is 8.30-9.45pm downstairs, and is the next step on, covering Bronze figures in simple routines with a short practice too, and is a slightly faster pace of class. We change dance style every 3 weeks.

£11 per week.
Friday's is our second Beginners night class option and is at 7.30-8.30pm
We try to do a different dance style to the Monday Night class, although this is the same level and we still change dance style every 3 weeks. This way anyone who wants to dance twice a week can learn twice as much!
£9.50 per week
All classes teach a dance routine for 3 weeks at a time, before alternating to a different dance, for instance Rumba for three weeks, then Waltz for three weeks, etc, alternating between a Ballroom and a Latin dance. Please call to know which week we are on,an which dance, we recommend starting week 1 or 2 of a new dance if you have never danced before.
(NB no classes on Monday Bank Holidays)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Well it is preferable to come along with a friend, but plenty of singles start dance classes and if we happen to have odd numbers then the teacher or assistant may be able to dance with you instead.
The answer is anything comfortable (smart/casual) that you can move in e.g. jeans and a top/shirt, will be fine. All we ask is that the ladies wear a shoe with a slight heel that will stay on their foot and that gentlemen wear normal outdoor shoes with as thin a sole as possible.
NB Trainers or flip flop sling-backs are NOT suitable as they restrict your movement of the foot. For those who want to invest in proper ballroom shoes we do sell shoes, so if interested please ask at reception during the day or ask your teacher for more information.
Advanced dancers are advised to wear suitable practice wear and separate ballroom and latin shoes, please ask your teacher when you reach this stage.
